Woo. I feel like Tuesdays are rejection day. It wasn't the only one I received today, and I received my other two last Tuesday. I'm going to start calling them Rejection Tuesdays around my house.

Sorry about the rejections, that really stinks. I guess one way to look at it is at least they don't keep you on the hook too long.

Meh (but thank you). I've sent out a LOT of applications. I expect rejections from most of them - nobody gets interviews at even most of the places they apply. Just waiting for that perfect fit.  |

For those of you who received rejection letters: did you get a request for reference letters as well? I assumed I was out of the running when my letter writers were not asked to send anything in... Same for me- to my knowledge I have not been asked to provide letters (we have a person who handles all that, and he hasn't notified me of any requests). I also did not receive a rejection email. |

Has anyone been scheduled for phone or on-campus interviews? I would then they would schedule those before sending out all the rejections.
I had received a request for letters, but I did not receive a rejection e-mail yesterday. I imagine I am stuck as number 15 on their short list and won't get a rejection until after other people have campus visits...
