The Department of Sociology & Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level to begin August 2015. We seek a candidate with a strong commitment to high quality undergraduate education whose primary expertise within Sociology is Criminology/Delinquency. Preference will be given to candidates whose areas of specialization include at least one of the following subfields: victimization, incarceration, law and society, criminal justice system. The successful candidate will be expected to teach introduction to sociology; research methods or sociological theory; and undergraduate courses on crime, delinquency, and deviance, as well as advanced undergraduate seminar courses in her/his areas of expertise. We seek individuals with a strong research program that will actively involve undergraduate majors. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Sociology. ABDs will be considered, but must have completed the PhD by the August 2015 start date.
