I just received an inquiry from Sociology Research to feature one of my recent publications (which requires an $80 processing fee). Has anyone heard of this outlet? Is it legitimate? Thanks!

I also got an email from them a few days ago, I guess they're on a recruitment campaign? A friend's article was on their site, but my friend didn't even know about it until I asked him/her, and hadn't paid any fee.
I find it fishy that there's no real info on the organization. They claim that "The editorial board have extensive backgrounds in leading academic institutions in the sociology field and apply a rigorous double-blind review process for article selection." But there's no information on this "editorial board," who they are, etc.

Yes, I also searched for information on their editorial board and found nothing. I talked to my advisor and she thinks it's a bit odd and said to ignore it.
