I know this is probably a bit early, since they said that they'd have final responses by the 14th, but I was wondering if people still have "pending" on the status of their submission for the ASA meeting.
Everyone else I've talked to so far has said that they have a final status, while mine still shows pending and no feedback or history at all. I don't know if I should be on the look out for my submission being lost in the system, or if "pending" is the norm at this point.

My ASA submission is also still pending. I was hoping for some info too.

Mine said "pending," too, until I got an acceptance email a couple of days ago. I was sort of bummed to find that I have been "roundtabled" again. Oh, well!

I just got an acceptance letter for a roundtable a couple of hours ago, so it could still be in the process. But last year mine got lost in the system and was not redirected to roundtables. I contacted ASA and perhaps the session organizers and I think someone in the administration managed to send it to the open refereed round tables and it was quickly accepted.

How thorough is the tracking webpage for ASA submissions supposed to be?
Going by what is in mine, it seems like my paper was never sent to my 2nd option, and went straight from the first one to a roundtable. I don't know if that is actually what happened, or if the history simply doesn't show a rejection by the 2nd option.

Does anyone know what the general acceptance rate is for ASA? What about panels vs. roundtables?

Does anyone know what the general acceptance rate is for ASA? What about panels vs. roundtables? As far as I know, only people who are ever rejected are the people who put "no" on the "forward to roundtables" option. I've never heard of anyone being rejected from a round table. So while I don't know if ASA published acceptance rates, looking at the number of papers in panels vs roundtables should give you a good idea of acceptance rates.

My paper was rejected by a round table. I didn't realize that happens, but thought that since it's in CA maybe there are more submissions this year?
