I suffer from public speaking anxiety which isn't getting any better. Any advice for how to practice public speaking? What are good techniques for practicing, and for getting over this kind of anxiety?

I did too when I started out and am now considered to be a very engaging presenter. If it is a professional presentation, just memorize it verbatim. It is doable if you start a week beforehand and spend one hour a day running through it 2-3 times. You'll then start out nervous but will keep moving anyway and should be fine five minutes in. It also helps to make chit chat with somebody right before you present. After 4 or 5 good presentations, it won't bother you any more. Over-preparing for a class is harder, but the class also forces you to speak in public often, which eventually forces you to become accustomed to it...maybe not after a day or a week, but after a couple months you will feel more comfortable. Full sympathies from me. Doing it more often is one way to become more comfortable speaking in front of others. Beyond that, quasi-professional groups like Toastmasters have structured programs for effective public speaking.
