Southern Utah University invites applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Sociology position in the Department of History, Sociology, and Anthropology to begin August 16, 2013. Candidates should be comfortable teaching Social Theory, Race and Ethnic Relations, and Social Inequality, as well as other undergraduate courses in their areas of specialization. PhDs are preferred, but ABDs close to finishing are welcome to apply. Successful applicants will have a strong commitment to undergraduate education, have an active research agenda, be willing to serve on campus committees, and enjoy working in an interdisciplinary environment.
