The University of Evansville Department of Law, Politics and Society invites applications for a full-time position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology, beginning August 22, 2012. The University of Evansville is an independent, comprehensive University strongly committed to undergraduate teaching and research, as well as to international education. Our student body of just under 3000 students hails from 49 countries and 43 states. The department offers a major in criminal justice and a major in sociology with specializations in general sociology and anthropology. Please see our website for additional department information (http://lps.evansville.edu/). Qualifications: PhD or advanced ABD in sociology, with experience in quantitative methods. In Fall 2012, the visiting professor will teach two sections of introductory sociology, social problems, and minorities and ethnic group relations. Courses to be taught Spring semester will be determined.
