Job Title: Research Coordinator 3
The Institute for Child Health Policy at the University of Florida is seeking a qualified Master’s- or Doctoral-level researcher to work full-time on a large state health services evaluation project.
Job Description
Coordinates project staff activities and provides team management for assigned projects.
Supervises day to day activities of specific research projects.
Prepares study methodologies and data collection tools in collaboration with Principal Investigator and other project supervisors.
Collects survey data and performs statistical quality checks.
Analyzes survey and other study data and interprets results.
Searches scientific literature using relevant databases and other sources; maintains bibliographical citation data; prepares written summaries of literature.
Creates descriptive and technical reports for assigned projects.
Maintains communication with faculty and team members within the Institute and externally as needed.
Assists Principal Investigator (PI) in writing drafts of publications relating to the projects.
Minimum Requirements
Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree preferred. Trained in the Social/Behavioral Sciences, Public Health, Epidemiology, Nursing, Health Services Research, or related fields. Two years experience in health outcomes/health services research, especially data collection in clinical and/or community settings and data management.
Attention to detail, particularly with regard to data accuracy and integrity. Excellent written (in English) and oral communication skill. Ability to work with PI to draft project proposals, manuscripts for publication in peer-review journals, and project reports. Strong computer skills (MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Good working knowledge of data analysis software (e.g., SAS, SPSS or STATA). Ability to interpret basic statistical results.
Ability to handle human subject issue.
Ability to travel to other locations for data collection and project meetings.
Ability to work independently and to collaborate with faculty and staff at multiple levels.
Salary
$50,000 - $60,000, commensurate within this range based on education and experience.
