Job Title: Qualitative Data Analyst
The PASOs program is seeking to contract with a part-time qualitative data analyst.
Overview:
PASOs is a community-based program that empowers Latino families to optimize maternal and child health within their social and cultural context through education, outreach, partnership, and advocacy. PASOs coordinates six program sites in South Carolina and seeks to achieve local commitment and sustainability for each of these current programs. Furthermore, PASOs is committed to strengthening the program in order to showcase its work and most effectively reach a larger population of Latino individuals and families. The analysis of qualitative data collected from program participants and coordinators is an important part of the process necessary to achieve these goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Design and implement a qualitative data analysis of focus groups, interviews, and surveys using qualitative data analysis software.
• Collaborate with PASOs staff and consultants to align the qualitative evaluation with the overall evaluation effort.
• Maintain confidentiality of participants and ensure that the evaluation process is ethically sound and culturally competent.
• Collaborate on an article for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Fluent in Spanish and English (familiarity with Mexican Spanish preferred)
• Master’s degree in related field with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience; or PhD in related field with demonstrated qualitative evaluation experience.
• Proficiency in NVivo (or other qualitative data analysis software)
