To MW: Yes; received the request to schedule prelim interviews this past Friday.
To QB: Sorry, can't say. No idea about whether references were solicited.

Just a note to MM and any others: You can check to see if your references were solicited by clicking "reference requests" on your application. It will say if your recommenders were contacted through their system.

Just checked; letters have not been solicited yet. The job ad does say "Letters of recommendation will be requested upon narrowing the candidate pool."

No idea, but I assume it is 8-10. Given that the preliminary interviews were 10 minutes, and the second round interviews are 30 min, this allows for a long short-list of 8-10 candidates.
