Sociology and Social Anthropology - Assistant Professor (Crime and Society) Dalhousie University Location: Nova Scotia Date posted: 2020-02-28 Advertised until: 2020-03-30 The Department of Sociology and Social Anthropology invites applications from junior academics with a completed PhD for an early-career teaching position at the rank of Assistant Professor. The 10 month, limited term appointment is to teach 6 half classes including: Introduction to Sociology, Youth Crime, Deviance and Society, and Race, Ethnicity and Nationalism. Applicants should hold a PhD in Sociology, Social Anthropology or related discipline and should be able to situate their work in one of the Department’s three areas of specialization: Critical Health Studies; Economy, Work and Development; or Social Justice and Inequality. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
