I received my PhD a few years back and have been working ceaselessly as an adjunct lecturer at community colleges.
My pubs are looking better and I would like to escape the inferno rings of adjunct hell.
I was recently offered some adjunct work at a top 50 university but it requires a large move . Also it is just for one semester and only for two courses— so it would be a sacrifice.
However, would having this adjunct work ( at a top 50 university) on my resume help me much on the job market ? Is it worth the sacrifice ?

Yes, I do think that this would help you on the market for university positions.
Working at a better ranked university wouldn't just be a status marker, although that's part of it. It would help demonstrate that you're familiar with and have experience teaching a different type of student --- the type that is more similar to the ones at the schools you're applying for. Having taught at both (although my community college days were long ago), I know that the expectations are very different. And the search committee members at universities know this.
This will also help you at the interview stage. You'll speak from a more informed perspective, and you will be able to give a better teaching demonstration. This isn't putting down the community college experience in any way, but teaching at the university will provide you with with a different skill set, one that will be more attractive to the types of places you want to work at.
In addition to human capital, you'll also get a boost in cultural and social capital. You'll learn more about how universities operate, what they're concerned about, how the responsibilities are different. And having more university professors as colleagues will help you with stronger references. All of this should help you both secure interviews and make a better impression when they are conducted.
