Does anyone have particularly positive or negative results to report? I.e., did anyone have very positive or very negative feedback/results from the ES? Because from my POV, it all looked fairly uninteresting. Saturday was pretty underwhelming for me, but Sunday was good. I had one school contact me and ask for an informal interview based on my CV. That was a really good interview.

TO respond, and on the off-chance people read through this next year in preparing for ES, I have only positive to say: -I contacted many schools -I heard from 80% (this helped me understand where I stand in terms of desireability and to whom, though admittedly rough estimation) -I met with a rather large number of schools (which got me lots of practice talking about my research and professional identity. I was much better at this towards the end - so big coup) -I got scheduled to have a more formal, extended interview with another prof from my dream job because of how well the ES time went (so I feel like participating made me a shoe-in for at least a Skype interview later) -I think the ES interview was a +1 for all the applications that I send in to schools I met with -One of the places I was going to apply to but, after the meeting, I know I would rather shoot myself in the left knee than work at. So that saves me time and heartache -I have a much clearer idea now of what kind of job I want and what sacrifices I'm willing to make
This meeting, for me, was all job market, and I think ES was well worth it. </2 cents>

Any word on ES 2016? By this I mean, any ideas who will be there hiring?
Based on this thread, it looks like the actual specialty areas they are hiring for are no disclosed on ES? That seems weird.
For those who have participated, what tips/advice do you have for us newbies going on the market?
