What campus affiliation? Just wondering if they're working from a master list or if each campus is notifying independently. I applied for a Berkeley affiliation...

I think the first wave of rejections went out in February but another seems to have gone out tonight (I was among them). They wrote that they'd received 630 applications. Judging from last year's numbers, only three of those are likely to go to sociology students. Crazy awful odds. Good luck to those remaining!

It's really late in the postdoc season too. It's almost inevitable that some of the winners will have already committed to other postdocs. Seems really poorly run...

I was recently contacted and told I was not selected for the Presidential Fellowship, but now am in the running for a campus specific fellowship that they passed my name on to, saying they did this to top candidates that didn't receive the Presidential Fellowship. May be the case for others, and the reason for the late notice.
