The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Randolph-Macon College invites applications for a one-year, non-tenure track visiting Sociologist for the 2014-15 academic year. The department seeks a generalist with a strong foundation in quantitative research methods. The successful candidate will teach Research Methods and courses in areas of interest. Specialization is open but preference given to applicants prepared to teach courses in social stratification, gender, or race/ethnicity. Additionally, the successful applicant will demonstrate excellence and commitment to teaching undergraduates in the liberal-arts tradition. Ph.D. preferred/ advanced ABD considered, and teaching experience required. Randolph-Macon is a co-educational, liberal arts, residential college just north of Richmond, Virginia; near Washington, DC.
