I just received (and accepted) a request to review for your journal. The managing editor indicated 4 weeks from the request (one month) as the deadline. I emailed him (have not heard back yet) that the turn-around time expectation is a bit stringent. 2-3 months is average; one month is a bit tight.

I've seen one month requests at the top generalist journals, to specialty journals and everything in between. If you can read and review a paper in a month then just don't even accept. Three months? What a joke!
