WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY’S Department of Sociology invites applications for a one-year visiting instructor or visiting assistant Professor position to begin fall, 2013. We seek scholars with a commitment to outstanding teaching and an active research program who are able to contribute to our core curriculum, including introductory courses and substantive areas (open). Applicants should have a Ph.D. in sociology or be ABD by August, 2013.
To apply, please submit a letter of application that includes a description of teaching experience, interests and practices, a curriculum vitae and evidence of excellence in teaching, as well as three confidential letters of reference. These materials should be sent to harris@wfu.edu
Review of applications will begin by April 15, 2013. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit applications by that date; however applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled.
