FWIW, my status for my first choice session went from being unassigned to accepted today. So, unassigned doesn't necessarily mean rejected from both first choices.

My ASA paper was rejected by the first choice (with a nice "thanks but no thanks") and currently listed as "transfer declined"? Anyone know what this means? Is my paper in ASA-limbo?

My first choice rejected me (and actually even left a short comment telling me that it was a tough choice, but that I did a nice job!), but I am not sure what to make of my second choice. My second selection was another slate of sessions, but although the module indicates that my paper has been accepted, it also mentions session round tables. I have done several ASA round tables before and have never seen the module presented this way (it usually tells me that I was rejected from two choices and then accepted for a round table), so I wonder if this means that I made a session or if I inadvertently listed round tables as my second choice and the second slate of sessions as #3.

Transfer declined happens when one of the session organizers tries to send the paper elsewhere and the organizer of that place doesn't want the paper.
Organizers are only supposed to transfer among roundtables (to find the most appropriate), but this status could happen if a session organizer tried to forward the paper to another regular/section session. In the latter case, the second organizer is supposed to decline it so that the paper can be forwarded to roundtables.
If roundtable is in your status, then you're likely accepted at a roundtable.
But I wouldn't get hung up on this right now--the status will sort itself out. If you think you're in ASA limbo close to the decision date (the 27th for regular/section sessions), you could email the organizers to find out what's what.

My submission just got accepted. To ASA, to my first choice session. Yesterday, my status was unassigned. So things ARE still moving. Just because your status hasnt changed yet, doesn't mean it won't.

Been listed as "Unassigned" for a while now, after saying "Transfer" previously. I know that even the deadline for Roundtables is passed, so probably that's it for my poor little paper, but who do I even contact to confirm this?

Mine has been with my first choice and is still "unassigned" (never "under review," or "transferred" to second or roundtable). Who knows if the paper was even read.
