Hobart and William Smith Colleges invite applications for a one-year, full-time position in sociology to begin July 1, 2017. We seek an experienced teacher committed to the liberal arts tradition who is able to teach five intermediate-level sociology electives, three in Fall 2017 and two in Spring 2018. The Fall 2017 courses will include Global Cities and Sociology of the City. The courses in the Spring will include Immigrant America. The remaining courses will reflect the successful candidate’s areas of expertise and departmental staffing needs.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should have a Ph.D. but candidates whose status is ABD will be considered. Candidates must have demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching, and a demonstrated commitment to diversity.
