This job was recently posted, but it doesn't have a due date. I assume they are going to move pretty quickly. If you have news, please post here!

They had a failed or closed (can't tell which) search for environment, aging, mental health, health care. This one must be different, right? Anyone know what their time line is?

Why do "friends" post about one another's job prospects on these boards?

Why do "friends" post about one another's job prospects on these boards? It's not like the person is posting names. By telling me that skype interviews are being scheduled, this person has kindly let me know that there is a good chance I am out of the running for this position and thus should move on to other prospects. I think the info the person gave me was "friendly" indeed.

Pretty sure they're starting to schedule skype interviews. Bummer, I thought I'd be perfect for this one. Can anyone confirm?

I think the info the person gave me was "friendly" indeed. It's a really popular phenomenon here. My guess is that, in many cases, it's similar to when you go to a trusted person to tell them about a problem a "friend" is having and ask for advice. Some people don't want to do anything to jinx the prospect of giving a job (such as having the fact that you post on an anonymous job board be traced back to you) somehow, so their "friends" post news on the board instead. Not saying this is the case with everyone, but I bet it happens pretty regularly.

^^ahh, okay. Well, are there any "friends" out there who can confirm? Or maybe a candidate who can confirm that what the "friend" said is true? I had high hopes for this job!

Someone mentioned earlier here that they were starting to skype. Has anyone else gotten a skype interview? Or even a campus interview?
